What is ready-to-assemble furniture?
Ready-to-assemble furniture is furniture that requires assembly after it’s purchased. Ready-to-assemble furniture saves the retailer and the customer money by not having to ship pre-assembled furniture.
What services do you provide?
St. Louis Assembly Pros, SLAP, are an “assembly only” service. SLAP assembles furniture from popular stores like IKEA, Weekends Only, Value City, and Ashley Furniture including brands such as Sauder and South Shore. SLAP does not offer disassembly, reassembly, moving service, wall hangings, window treatments, or wall mounted shelving services.
Will SLAP assemble furniture from any store?
Yes! Please use our quote form and email us the URL and item number to the exact item you would like for us to consider assembling. We will respond with an invoice if we can assembly the furniture or an email explaining why we cannot assemble the item.
Will the furniture assemblers take my empty boxes or packaging away?
Yes! We will be happy to move any empty boxes or packaging to your outdoor trash area for pick-up at your request. We will not haul away trash in our vehicles.
How long will the assembly take?
It depends on what item(s) you have that require assembly. The typical time frame is between 1 and 4 hours. Once we know what items you have, we will provide you with an estimate on the amount of time needed to complete the assembly.
What should I expect on the assembly day?
Our furniture assemblers arrive with their own tools ready for the project. Most projects require one assembler, however we will determine if a second assembler is required and we will divide the work up for each assembler.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept credit/debit only. For our assembler’s and the customer’s safety, we do not accept cash. Please pay via the Square invoice. All payments are due up front before assembly start.
What happens if I decide against using your service after paying the invoice?
We will refund your money. We’re not in the business of scamming consumers. We use Square as a payment option to protect the company as well as the customers.
Do you accept personal checks?
Sorry, but we do not accept personal checks.
What are your hours of operation?
We operate from 8AM – 7PM, Monday through Saturday and 9AM – 5PM on Sundays.
What happens if SLAP discovers parts are missing and/or damaged?
SLAP assemblers will assist you in contacting the manufacturer or retailer’s customer service department in the event a part is missing or defective. The replacement part should be sent directly to you, at which time you can reschedule our services, and pay only for one visit. No additional fees will be added.
Will the SLAP furniture assembler move the furniture for me?
Only within the room it is being assembled. We ask that you have your furniture delivered to the room you would like it in prior to our assemblers’ arrival. Please make sure there is plenty of room for the assembly and that any fragile objects are removed from the area. Once the service is complete, the SLAP assembler will move the furniture to your desired position within the room.
